MEANING OF THE LuzViMinda LOGO

Central to the logo of LuzViMinda Lodge No. 317 is the universal symbol of the Fraternity: the square and compasses and the letter "G" - the three great lights of Masonry.

The circle, as there is neither beginning nor end, reminds members of the tenets and teachings of the fraternity as there is no end to the search for that Masonic light.  In the center and in its background is the three-pointed star that represents the stable base or footing of both this blue lodge, our jurisdiction and the fraternity in general: if members practice the tenets it inculcates to its adherents.

The three-pointed star extends beyond the circle to remind its members to go beyond the sacred retreats of the tyled lodge in squaring their actions.  In each apex of the three-pointed star are found five-pointed stars (pentagram) in yellow.  They represent three main islands of the Philippines: LUZON, VISAYAS and MINDANAO, of which the lodge name is their acronym.

The tri-color, red, white and blue, are in tribute to the two nations:  the United States of America - the adopted country of most of its members and the Philippines - their country of origin.

Needless to say, the text within and at the lower arc of the circle implies that LuzViMinda Lodge is laboring under the jurisdiction of the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of Washington.
