Visit to Hermanos Del Arte Lodge No. 314

In a resolution adopted by the lodge, LuzViMinda Lodge UD established a sister relationship with the Hermanos Del Arte Lodge No. 314 (Brewster, WA).   They gracefully accepted the proposal.  Similar relationships exist between lodges in Washington State and Vancouver, BC.  Unless, otherwise corrected, LuzViMinda and Hermanos del Arte are the first lodges within the jurisdiction to enter into this fraternal pact.  By chance, both are “ethnic” lodges, but this category has no bearing in the choice of a sister lodge.

As an initial activity, 13 brethren and more than 5 ladies from LuzViMinda took the very pleasant four-hour trip to Brewster, WA on one sunny Saturday - July 29.  Hermanos del Arte had their installation of officers that day.  This visit reenergized the ball that has been rolling for the two lodges, in terms operationalizing two of the Grand Lodge pillars of progress:  Fraternalism and Family Involvement.

Following the ceremony, under the trees and the canopy of the blue sky was the barbecue meal and tons of fraternal bonding between brothers and sisters alike.  It was the start of what was once a distant relationship among Masonic brothers from both sides of the Cascades.  All are looking forward to the visit of the hermanos y hermanas de este logia en Julio de 2007.  Hasta la vista and Mabuhay!
