HARANA KAY DIANE AT SA KABABAIHAN

LuzViMinda Lodge’s Fourth Stated Meeting was made more memorable with the presence of the MW Grand Master Charles W. McQuery.  It was his first official visit to this lodge under dispensation.  There were 33 members and 19 visitors present that cool day of September 16, 2006.

Following the tyled meeting, LuzViMinda Lodge attempted a unique way of recognizing the ladies.  Needles to say, this is in appreciation for the support they have provided to the Masons.  Dubbed as “Harana kay Diane at sa Kababaihan”, it was deemed proper to honor the first lady of Masonry in the jurisdiction.  Translated, it means “Serenade to the Diane and the Ladies”.  As traditional Filipino hospitality dictates when inviting guests, local delicacies were served including a whole roasted pork or “lechon”.

A karaoke microphone which has over a thousand songs in English, Spanish and Pilipino was made available to the brothers whose singing voice would otherwise remain unused.  Brothers who refused to sing when requested, was fined a red ticket that was issued earlier.  Proceeds from the fines goes to Diane’s favorite charity.

The lodge leaders and members are constantly looking and experimenting on ways and means that generate the interests of its members.  These are wholesome non-lodge family activities that enhance the fraternal bonding among Masons and their families.
